Toy For Pool

How to make your pool child friendly

Do you remember how you love the water when you were a child? You were so excited when you first plunge in the pool with your parents. You were even more excited to see the toy for pool in the water. It is surely one of happiest memory you have of your childhood.
You wish you could do the same for your child, but as much as you want to, you are apprehensive about the whole thought. No one can really blame you. After all, drowning is one of the leading causes of death in the country. What is worst is that the greater number of drowning happened at backyard family pools.
However, you can still make it safe for your child. Here is how.
How to keep your child safe from the pool

  • Teach your child how to swim. Kids drown primarily because they do not know how to swim. Although the idea does not eradicate the possibility that your child can drown, it will help prevent the tragedy from happening.
  • Do not leave cool pool toy in the water when it is not in used. Your child will have the urge to get his toys from the water and he might accidentally fall into the water.

  • If you are still planning to install a pool in your backyard, go for above ground pools. These are much safer than in ground pools. The reason why is because your child will less likely fall into the water when it is elevated from the ground. However, you should remove the stairs or any object where your child can climb. You also have to make sure that you cover it well and not partially. Do not place the pool float mattress on the cover so that it will not entice the child to climb.
  • Put a fence around your backyard pool. This will prevent your child from getting inside the area when no one is watching. Make sure that he cannot climb up the fence or crawl beneath it, or else it will be pointless.

How to make sure the kids have fun in the pool
Swimming is fun for them. They can think of various games they can do with the floating pool toy. To make it even more fun, play with them. When you are at the poolside watching them, why not get in the pool with them. You can personally teach your child a few tricks to swim. You can even use the time to teach him about safety tips in the water.

It is scary to note that many innocent children have lost their lives to drowning. However, this should not cause you to deprive your child of the benefits and joy of swimming. Make your pool child friendly. This does not mean that you fill it with toys for pool. Put a fence around the pool or cover it properly when not in use. In addition, supervise your child when swimming and have more fun with him.
